It all begins with an idea. The idea behind Interconnect Therapy is to create a community for Bay Area families who can access the unique therapy & family support they need. With this ever growing goal, there are many projects that require on-going funding & support. Read below to learn how your contributions will be used!

The build out of a large sensory play room & back yard. I was lucky enough to land a magical therapy space in the Sunset district of San Francisco, where i’ve called home the past 13 years. Fortunately, there is still room in the building to grow. There are unused spaces in the building where significant costs are required to bring the building to code and make the space usable for all. The goal is to use funds for a buildout of a sensory playroom for kids with sensory needs to utilize. Picture this: a large room with tall ceilings perfect for a climbing wall, swings, a foam pit and trampoline. The sensory room would also allow children to receive occupational therapy services, in addition to behavioral therapy at Interconnect.

Sponsorship of low income children to access therapy services. The biggest motivator to partner with a 501(c)(3) was to ensure all children and families have access to my services and resources. It is my priority to teach and support all families, regardless of their economic status. A portion of donations made to Interconnect will go directly to supporting low income families by enrolling them in social groups, parent coaching and therapy.

On-going community events, classes & workshops. With contributions from community members, monthly workshops, classes and events will be held at Interconnect regularly that are open to the public. These classes will be an important part of building the community for families in San Francisco to seek support. Support looks different for every family, from infancy to young adulthood, all families are supported along the way!

Access to learning equipment & materials for those with special needs and disabilities. Many of the clients who come to Interconnect have special needs, from sensory regulation, physical disabilities to accommodations ensuring their safety and participation. Donations made will help to purchase equipment & teaching materials and ensure all clients have access to their special supports.
